Duties & Responsibilities:

Create, write and edit material for multi-platform publications following specific guidelines

Research and ide

Conduct interviews to create content

Produce a regular mix of stories, including news and features

Collaborate with other staff on stories and look for additional ways of storytelling through multimedia platform.

Edit stories and proof pages

Perform other related duties as required

Travel for coverage if needed

Qualifications:

Must have comprehensive oral and written communication skills

Proficient in speaking, writing and reading Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese

Have an in-depth knowledge of Wechat and Facebook

Deadline driven with the ability to plan, create, and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Journalism experience - writing for weekly or daily publication is preferred

Knowledge of media principles and processes

Basic photography skills

Ability to evaluate and edit the content, structure, and format of a wide range of media

Ability to work independently and with a team

A university or college degree in journalism, communications or a related discipline
